Happy-soapy-luckie days here!!
The fabulous Glass Recycling Cooperative here in Yellowknife is the first official carrier of Sassy product! YAY! We are so excited to be working with this dedicated and talented group. They have a big open house this weekend, so drop in if you happen to be in the neighborhood of Old Town! At least check out their web site ! Gorgeous new soap dishes too!
Some fun was had putting together a little table top display stand for the Cooperative too. I love the blue colour (from ds’ corner shelf):
Maybe desperation and not necessity is the real mother of invention! I needed an authentic inukshuk stamp for the new ’66 degrees of North’ soap, and I needed it pronto. After a heavy Google research session I grabbed some pretty straightforward supplies and began gouging away at the eraser and came up with a pretty good semblance of an ink stamp:
Took maybe 45 min total. This is gonna save a fortune in stamping costs!! Here it is on the soap (using some blue mica):
The soap is a softer blue than appears here. Nice crisp winter scent too.
And here is other new batch: the yummie patchouli-oakmoss and calendula bar. This has really made me a fan of patchouli (which I initially thought smelled a lot like unwashed armpit….Is that what gives it the hippie connotation I wonder?).
The dh is on his way home with a bag of muktuk for me to render. Now THAT will be a soaping experiment!!!! Stay tuned.
